What sheet metal punching involves
Punching is an industrial process used to blank different types of metals, including iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminium. It is performed using special machinery such as a CNC punching machine. The procedure begins with the creation of a CAM drawing, preparing the machine turret with appropriate punching dies, and is then replicated to obtain a series of identical shapes.
Punching can be used to make holes, cuts, and embossing on metal sheets. Today, punching is an automated process performed by numerically controlled machines, using punches and dies in standard or special shapes, depending on the final design desired.
Our 2 cnc punching machines are capable of cutting sheets up to 1250 × 2500 mm.
We can punch a wide range of metals, such as iron, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, and special alloys. We offer sheet metal cutting and drilling services, providing high-precision, high-quality semi-finished products.
How the most common metals are processed::
- STEEL PUNCHING: steel and stainless steel are increasingly in demand for customised and bespoke processes. At UGS we offer a reliable steel and stainless steel punching service, using suitable machinery to ensure optimum results.
- ALUMINUM PUNCHING: although less resistant than other metals, aluminium calls for the highest precision in machining, including punching. Our expertise ensures results of the highest quality to meet the customer’s specific requirements.
Our state-of-the-art machinery is an advantage that sets us apart. We have been operating both nationally and internationally for over 30 years, and with our sheet metal punching processes we are able to produce high-quality semi-finished and finished products.
Our punching machines enable us to achieve clean and precise cuts, offering superior quality products for a wide range of market sectors, such as ELECTROMECHANICAL, MEDICAL, LIGHTING, VENDING AND HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES AND COOKING ROBOTS.
